Frequently Asked Questions

What types of videos does the video club film?

The KCES Video Club creates videos from around the school. The students will film events, after school activities, learning, and other school related material. From time to time, the club will film videos that may seem silly or just for recreational purposes.

How can I get the video club to film something that I feel is important?

Stop by computer lab C27 and submit an event request to Mr. Mike. The production teams will then begin to write a script for the film and conduct filming. Once the event is filmed, the crew will edit the video. If you would like to be part of the editing process, please let the video club members know ahead of time. Thank you!

Can I join Video Club?

Video Club is open to any fourth or fifth grade student able to be picked up from after school activities on Monday and Thursday. You must also be in good academic standing and be a positive role model. We are still in need of 1 more video club member. Ask your parents and teacher if you can be part of this exciting after school club.

Do you have to know a lot about filming or technology to join the club?

No. This is the first time students have been put in a production team role and tasked to film school events. While in video club, you will be given instruction about making videos and editing. It is a great learning experience for all students involved. The fourth grade students in video club will be able to assist next year's fourth grade students who join. They should be the professionals come next year.
